Jerome Frank is a professor of computer science and electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is most noted for his work in computer architecture and computer graphics.

Jerome Frank was born in 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1960, he moved to California, where he received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1969.

He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1973.

He is one of the founders of the computer graphics research community. He served as the first director of the Computer Graphics Laboratory at UCSB (later known as the Computer Graphics Center at UCSB), from 1974 to 1980. He became Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Berkeley in 1980, and was appointed Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 1994.

He is currently the Director of the Computer Graphics Laboratory at UCSB, and he directs the Multimedia and Computer Graphics Group within the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

He is the author of a book on geometrical computer graphics, with a volume on both geometry and shading, Shading and Anisotropic Filtering,
